Vienna Travel Guide

Vienna tend to be equally modern and old-fashioned. The traditional Vienna is but one of the many façades of this city. It is also a dynamic, young city, famous for its music scene with independent labels, cult-status underground record stores and a vibrant club scene.

About Vienna

Vienna covers an area of 160.2 sq. miles (414.9 square Km) and is estimated to have a population of 1.7 million people being the capital and the largest city in Austria. It is the 10th largest city by population in the European Union and is identified having the 3rd highest quality of living.

Firenze Enoteca

This is one of Vienna’s premier Italian restaurants. Located near St. Stephan’s next to the Royal Hotel, it’s furnished in Tuscan Renaissance style, with frescoes by Benozzo Gozzoli. The kitchen specializes in homemade pasta served with zesty sauces. According to the chef, the cuisine is “80% Tuscan, 20% from the rest of Italy.” Start with selections from the antipasti table, and then choose among spaghetti with “fruits of the sea”; veal cutlet with ham, cheese, and sardines; or perhaps filet mignon in a tomato-garlic sauce. Be sure to complement any meal here with a classic bottle of Chianti.
